1. What is the aim of the programme?

The main aim of the programme is to bring real improvements to communities and to the lives of people most in need by funding projects which involve people in their communities, bringing them together to enjoy a wide range of charitable, community, educational, environmental and health-related activities.

2. What area does Awards for All cover?

The people who will benefit from BIG’s Awards for All must live in Northern Ireland.

3. Who can apply for an Awards for All grant?

You can apply to BIG’s Awards for All if you are:

  • a voluntary and community organisation, or
  • a statutory organisation.

 

We cannot make awards to:

  • individuals
  • companies which aim to distribute a profit
  • appeals of charities set up to support statutory bodies.

4. How much money can we get?

BIG’s Awards for All programme will continue to provide grants of between £500 and £10,000. You can apply for up to £10,000 in any 12-month period from the date of the first award. If you are awarded less than £10,000 you can reapply for the remaining value up to £10,000 within the 12-month period.

However, you can only hold one award at a time, so you can only reapply if your first award has ended and we have received and approved your end of award report and any other monitoring requirements.
