How to apply

Incomplete applications

Three quarters of all applications to the Awards for All programme have essential information missing. The most common omissions are:

  • bank statements are missing or unacceptable
  • accounts are missing or unacceptable
  • the dates of birth of contacts are missing, and
  • referees are not suitable.

Incomplete applications waste everybody’s time, so we have now introduced a complete application process whereby we return incomplete applications explaining what is missing.

The main reason that applications are rejected is that we are asked to fund items or activities that Awards for All does not cover. Read the guidance notes carefully to check that what you are planning to do fits the programme.

Please note that some of the Awards for All distributors have revised their funding priorities and these are effective from 1st April 2008. The Awards for All Northern Ireland Guidance notes and application form (Version 2/10K/NI) have now been updated providing details of these revisions, and are available to download.

IMPORTANT:
From Tuesday 1st July 2008 Awards for All, Northern Ireland, will no longer accept the previous application form (green and purple cover).

PDF files Adobe Portable Document Format file
A PDF file allows you to download and print information quickly and easily.

To open PDF files, you will need to use the latest version of Adobe Acrobat.
If you have an earlier version of Acrobat installed on your machine, you may
not be able to see all the features in our PDFs.

You can install the latest version from the Adobe Acrobat website

When you have filled in your application form, send it to the appropriate office (see page 21 of the guidance notes) and you will get a decision within 3-4 months.

If you are a branch of another organisation your parent body will need to complete a letter of endorsement (MS Word, 50 KB). Further information on this may be found on page 11 of the guidance notes.
