![]() From our regional office in Guildford, we make grants
to a range of community groups from Milton Keynes, down to the Isle of
Wight and across to Kent. See areas below:
Bracknell Forest Brighton and Hove Buckinghamshire East Sussex Hampshire Isle of Wight Kent (excluding boroughs of Bromley and Bexley) Medway Towns Milton Keynes Oxfordshire Portsmouth Reading Slough Southampton Surrey (excluding boroughs of Richmond-upon-Thames, Kingston-upon-Thames, Sutton and Croydon) West Berkshire West Sussex Windsor and Maidenhead Wokingham If this is not your regional site please click here for a full England listing. The aim of the programme is to fund projects that will involve people in their local community and we have a regional focus that explains in more detail the types of projects and people we are particularly looking to fund. We have already seen a large number of successful community projects funded through the programme, many of which have been run by groups which have not previously applied for Lottery funding. You may not have previously considered Lottery money as a way of improving the work you do, or simply getting an idea that will benefit the community off the ground, but we hope you will after looking at our web site. We have provided support to local groups running sports, arts, heritage and other community activity. We have helped a Newhaven project uncover the wartime secrets of tunnels under South Heighton with a grant of £2,300 and an Oxfordshire group run music making workshops for everyone to participate in listening, playing and composing contemporary music with a grant of £514. We have helped Southampton develop and improve accessible facilities through a £799 grant to a local action group and providedcoaching to women and girls in Sussex in the game of cricket; extending participation and increasing skills with a grant of £4,250. That is just a small range of the grants between £500 and £5,000 that we have awarded. Please take the time to look at some of the more detailed case studies from the hundreds of other projects. If you are still not sure whether you project is one that could be considered under this programme, please give a member of the Awards for All team a call on 01483 462943 or send your query from the contacts section of the site. We can give you advice about our aims and the criteria of the scheme. We can not tell you how to write your application but may be able to point you in the direction of someone that can give more specific advice. |
